Superior to Silicone Rubber Coated Gloves, Shat-R-Shield's safety coated globes are more transparent, allowing more lumen output and range of vision. Shat-R-Shield's safety coated gloves are also easier to clean and resist thermal shock from grease and other liquid splatters. These globes can reliably withstand the heat emitted by a 100 watt incandescent lamp.

Shat-R-Shield's shatterproof, safety coated globes are designed to be safely used in food preparation and storage areas to protect employees, products and worksites from contamination by broken glass. If a Shat-R-Shield globe is broken, virtually all glass is safely contained within the smooth, safety-coating.

Safety coated globes have an excellent long-term resistance to extreme heat or cold, and are unaffected by ultraviolet (UV) light. Safety coated globes are chemically inert and are normally unaffected by chemicals. Safety coated will not yellow, crack or flake.
